The best product for conjunctivitis & blepharitisI was diagnosed with a severe tear duct blockage and due to this I had a very strong conjunctivitis that became resistant to eye antibiotics. After following several antibiotics treatments my eye became super sensitive and most of all the infection became worse so I decided to try Optimel Eye Drops. Finally in just 3 days the infection was gone and me eyes look super clear. It stings pretty strong in the first minute after putting the drops but keeping the eyes closed for a few minutes works great.
Ok I really found this product very helpful for my dry eyes. I’ve been a contact lens user daily for the past 15 years. My eyes have became dry with frequent contact lens use and age. Tried many products but they don’t provide prolonged alleviation of dryness, in which also causes my eyes to itch. These eyedrops do! They do sting in the first few seconds of administration BUT I’ve grown to actually enjoy that sensation. I store the bottle in the fridge for the extra buzz. I sincerely hope that the prices don’t keep on going up though…
It's true that the product stings like crazy when placed in eye. Use it by keeping eyes closed for at least 30-seconds after placing in eye. Feels fine after that and offers effective relief of dry eye. Frequency suggested in 3 times a day - certainly use before bed. Haven't used it long enough to determine value per price - but since it helps, I will continue to use.
I first read about how great this gel is online. I have meibomian gland dysfunction and aqueous tear deficiency leading to dry eyes. I have gotten IPL, punctal plugs, Thealoz duo drops, and do hot compresses, but I think this gel also makes a difference. I’ve been using it for a week and I notice that my eyes aren’t nearly as burning or painful anymore. It stings when you first put it in, but it goes away after about a minute. It does smell a bit weird, but I barely notice. I wouldn’t recommend putting it directly in your eye - I usually use some on a cotton swab and run it on the lash line.
The dry eye drops provide prolonged moisture and relief, allowing me to experience improved comfort throughout the day. The hydrating effect lasts longer compared to some other over-the-counter eye drops I've used. Upon application, the Optimel Manuka+ Dry Eye Drops provide immediate lubrication and relief to dry and irritated eyes. The drops will sting for a few minutes, but that will subside. Drops are hydrating, offering a comforting sensation to the eyes. I've noticed that my eyes feel more comfortable and less scratchy after using these drops. The standout feature of these eye drops is their innovative use of Manuka honey, known for its potential soothing and healing properties. Manuka honey has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities, making it an interesting choice for addressing dry eye symptoms. I appreciate the incorporation of natural ingredients. Size is like any other drops, but these last me for 2 months!
I’ve had dry eyes for nearly ten years, and I’ve tried every eye drop on the market. This is by far the most effective. It burns for a few seconds, then my tear film is so much better, proving clearer vision. I use it twice a day, and my eyes are so much more comfortable. Iherb has the best price with quick shipping.
I’ve had blepharitis for years, and optimel’s manuka eye gel and eye drops really help. I used to use the gel but recently switched to the eye drops because it’s easier to apply for me. It does sting when it first goes in, but only for a few seconds, and I actually kinda enjoy the stinging now because me eyes feel a lot better afterwards. I really do notice a difference when I’ve gone a few days in a row without using this product. My eyes would feel itchier, drier, grittier. But these symptoms are managed pretty well as long as I keep using the drops.
This stuff is great for MGD. I no longer wake up with super dry eyes, and I rarely feel like I have dry eyes at all anymore. I use it twice a day - once when I wake up, and once before bed. These are the only drops that have made a difference for me. They sting when you put them in, but just keep your eyes closed for about 30 seconds and it's fine.
I've had dry eye for years and had been using thick hyaluronic acid based eye drops, which were the only ones that gave me true relief. Depending on how dry my eyes felt I'd have to apply several times a day. I decided to try Optimel eye drops and have used 2 bottles so far, which have lasted me and a half months both, with twice a day application (morning and night), and I can now safely say this has really improved my dry eyes. I barely ever have to use the other thick eye drops anymore. I began noticing an improvement around a couple of weeks after first use and it has gotten better an better as I've continued using them. I recommend them 100%. They do sting the eyes quite a bit for about 5 seconds right after application, they always do but I don't mind as I'm getting great benefit.
I was already using pure raw manuka honey upf 15+ on my eyes, I was putting a very small drop of it with a clean cotton swab in each eye and suffering the incredibly stinging pain, but I was doing it because it really worked to get rid fast of pink eye, inflammation from blepharitis, etc. So I wanted to try these eye drops with manuka honey to see if they're as effective. They seem to be yes, and the stinging is not nearly s bad. Very expensive however.
I have been told about the miracles of Manuka honey and eyes so I tried this. I am on my second bottle and I use them at night. So far my eyes have become VERY relaxed and not burning. My hazey clouds in my vision have lessened as well, which I'm really happy about. I gave 4 stars because it is too soon to tell, I believe that product reviews should not come too soon after using the product, they should come where time tells of the product efficacy. I like this product, though when you use it, it burns seriously (I'm still not used to that).
