I normally have 1 scoop of protein in my shaker already and use this to carry an extra one. Is it nice to have, yes. Was it worth the cost, ehhh not really. I could have bought another shaker cup for this price. I also have a blender bottle with the bottom section that I can take off but I mostly use a stainless steel shaker so it really depends on your needs. But overall good quality if you're thinking about or need extra something to carry around
